Action Against Spurious Milk: Madhya Pradesh Food Safety Administration Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade has instructed all district collectors to run a special campaign to prevent fake, adulterated milk and other milk products made from it.
Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade has asked all the collectors to conduct special campaigns against businessmen who manufacture, collect and sell milk products made of adulterated, spurious milk and adulterated, spurious milk, mawa, paneer etc. in their district.
In the letter written to the collectors, it has been said that action is being taken against those involved in adulteration in the freedom from adulteration campaign. Complaints of adulterated milk, spurious milk and food items made from spurious, adulterated milk have been received from most of the districts. Conduct a special campaign to take immediate action on these complaints.
The collector should conduct a thorough investigation in his district along with the food safety officer, mobile food laboratory in-charge and the local police administration and action should be taken against the concerned shop and the person found guilty. The action taken in the special campaign should also be reviewed weekly in the District Collector TL meeting and the information about the action taken should be sent to the Commissioner Food Safety Administration in the prescribed form. It is notable that Food Safety Officers of the Food Safety Administration Department are deployed to prevent food adulteration and other disturbances, but their activism is not visible at all continuously throughout the year. They are active only during special festivals. After that no action is seen anywhere for the whole year.
