The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has issued a new timetable for KVS admissions in 2022, effective immediately. Candidates are encouraged to review the updated timetable, accessible on the KVS official website. According to the official notification issued by the KVS, the announcement of the first provisional selection and the release of the queue of online registered applicants for the KVS Admission List will take place on April 29, 2022.
KVS Admission List 2022
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has issued a new timetable for KVS class 1 admission in 2022-23, effective immediately. Following the revision of the KVS timetable, the announcement of the first provisional selection and the release of the queue of online registered applicants will take place today, April 29, 2022. Parents may see the KVS admission list for class 1 for 2022 on the school’s official website.
The second list of candidates for KVS class 1 admissions will be revealed on May 6, 2022. According to the program, the third list is expected to be revealed on May 10, 2022. From May 6 to May 17, 2022, the announcement of the preliminary selection list of applicants according to the priority service category for unreserved seats will take place.
KVS Selection List OUT
The extended deadline for second notification for offline registrations for admissions under RTE provisions, SC/ST, and OBC (NCL) if sufficient applications are not received online will be from May 12 to May 18, 2022. If sufficient applications are not received in the online mode will be from May 12 to May 18, 2022. The presentation of the list and the admissions process will begin on May 23, 2022, and will continue until May 30, 2022.
Under the revised rules, students must be six years old on March 31 of the academic year to enroll in class one of the elementary school. It also indicates that children born on April 1 would be taken into consideration by the school. If a student applies for admission to Class 11 in the year after completing the Class 10 test, the KVS has waived the age restriction for admission.
A similar statement may be made for class 12 since there are no upper or lower age restrictions for admission so long as the student has continued to study after completing class 11. SC seats account for 15% of total seats, ST seats account for 7.5 percent, and OBC-NCL seats account for 27% of total seats.

KVS Admission 2022
In 2022, the admission period for classes 2 and up will run from April 22 to April 28. The entrance period for all classes, except class 11, will end on June 30, 2022.
When a student applies for admission to Class 11 in the year after completing the Class 10 examination, KVS has removed the age limit from the application process. There are no top or lower age limits for class 12 since there are no upper and lower age limits for admission to class 11. The student has not taken a break from their continuous education after graduating from class 11.
KVS Age Limit 2022
The new timetable includes information on the age restrictions for KVS Classes 1 through 10. Although there is an age limit for Class 11 admission, there is no such restriction if pupils apply for admission in the same year they took their Class 10 test. Similarly, there is no upper age restriction for admission to Class 12, provided that the student has not taken a vacation from their continuing education after graduating from Class 11.
Children with disabilities may be granted an age relaxation of up to two years by the head of the relevant school to accommodate their unique needs and abilities. According to the KVS admission norms for 2022-23, a total of 15 percent of seats are allocated for students from Scheduled Castes (SC), and a total of 7.5 percent of seats are reserved for students from Scheduled Tribes (ST) (ST). Students from Other Backward Classes non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL) are entitled to 27 percent of available seats.
