The government made this provision in the budget for agricultural loans
Due to the election year, the government has opened its treasury in the budget this year.
The focus has been on women, youth and farmers in the budget.
At the same time, the government has made a big announcement in its budget for the farmers who are waiting for the loan waiver.
Government will pay interest of farmers
The Madhya Pradesh government has given such farmers of the state who have become defaulters waiting for the waiver of the loans taken from the cooperative organization and have been deprived of the facility of fertilizer seeds,
The government has announced in its budget to pay the amount of interest charged on the dues of those farmers.
Along with this, the amount of interest on the loan of the defaulter farmers in the co-operative institution will also be borne by the government.
Presenting the budget, the Finance Minister said that with this arrangement, all the farmers of the state will be able to increase their income from agricultural production by taking loans at zero interest rate for agricultural works through cooperatives.
For this purpose, a total provision of Rs 2500 crore has been made in the budget for the years 2022-23 and 2022-24.
These farmers will get benefit
In the year 2018-19, the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh had announced to waive loans of farmers up to Rs 2 lakh in the state.
Which was to be completed in three phases, but in the meantime the Congress government fell and the loan waiver work of the farmers remained incomplete.
During this, many farmers of the state have been waiting for farm loan waiver and became defaulters due to increase in interest.
Now the government will deposit the interest of such farmers, so that the defaulter farmers will once again be able to take loans from cooperative banks without any interest.
